Printable Vacation Planner
Little by little, I’ve been working my way down the list of the most requested kits for The Organization Toolbox! Next to the Health and Medical Trackers featured last month, the other kit I get requests for over and over again is a Printable Vacation Planner! Well…with Spring Break just around the corner and summer travel planning ramping up, I figured this was the perfect time to finally pull together an array of printable planners, trackers and packing lists to help you organize every detail of your next trip or vacation. These mix-and-match pages are fun, simple, and oh-so-handy, and they are sure to make planning your next trip just a little bit easier!
This brand new Printable Vacation Planner features 50 editable, printable pages, and is available in BOTH the Rainbow Basics color scheme (pictured), as well as a full Black-and-White version for those of you who like to conserve printer ink and/or color code your pages! Not all 50 pages will be needed for a single trip; as such, the entire kit is designed to be mixed-and-matched based on your planning needs or specific vacation.
Whether you need a single sheet to hash out a weekend getaway or several different worksheets and checklists to plan out every little detail of a 3 week excursion, you’ll find everything you need in this kit!
Like many of my other printable kits, most pages can be used as a one or two-page spread. This means that if you only need one sheet, you can print the first page with both the title and the icon…
But if you need more space or additional sheets for a certain category or topic, you can print the second, non-tilted/icon only sheet as many times as necessary to extend the section! This unique design provides ultimate flexibility and customization for your specific trip!
Although I can’t walk through every single page of this kit, let me share a few highlights of what’s included!
Vacation Planners and Trackers
A large majority of this kit are various worksheets to help you brainstorm, plan, track and coordinate pretty much any trip/vacation detail you can think of!
These one-page Trip-At-a-Glance worksheets are ideal for planning out simple vacations and allow you to see your plans and schedule in a single snapshot. It should be noted that everything on these worksheets is completely editable, including the red circles…so you can type or write in any date/date you need for your trip!
The 2-page Master To Do List helps you start your planning 4-6 months out and progresses all the way to the morning you depart! Clickable check boxes mean you could also maintain this To-Do List digitally!
There are several different “daily planners” included in this kit because I realize everyone has different vacation needs. Simple trips can use the at-a-glance planners shown above or even these blank 1-week and 2-week calendar pages:
However, if you’re planning a trip that requires multiple flights, hotels, etc, then these more detailed planning pages may be more helpful! Going on a trip that is longer than 10 days? No problem…just print that right-hand page as many times as you need to plan out your whole trip! Note: Again, all the circles and fields are fully editable so you can customize them to your vacation schedule!
I know when we do big trips with multiple stops (like when we are moving across country), it’s really helpful to have all of our hotel information consolidated into a single place. This way, if we need to adjust, confirm or cancel a specific reservation, locating the right information is quick and easy (regardless of what kind of cell coverage we have!)
I’ll quickly note here that on a few occasions, I provide several different layout options for the same category. While both worksheets capture much of the same information, you can choose a layout that makes more sense to you!
Having all your various travel arrangements in one spot can also be really handy on long trips! This Travel Itinerary is great for keeping track of details while your booking or as a final spreadsheet to bring with you on your travels.
This From Here-to-There spread is available with both air- and road-specific details!
For those who really don’t like to overlook a single detail, I’ve also included a 2-page outfit planner! These worksheets help you take into account your activity and the weather for each day so you can plan accordingly. With this spread, you’re sure to be fully prepared for every day of your vacation!
Other planning resources also included but not pictured:
- Vacation Brainstorming pages
- Daily Planner (3 different layouts)
- Trip Itinerary
- Gas Log
- Activities & Outings Planner (two different layouts)
- Vacation Budget
Printable Packing Lists
The planning pages are certainly handy when it comes to ironing out all the details of a trip, but I think the true stars of this kit are the 11 different printable packing lists included! Because even with every detail hashed out, packing and remembering every little thing can often be the most stressful part of any vacation! From full family checklists to individual worksheets…vacation specific to location specific…you are sure to find a printable packing list (or set of lists!) just right for you or your family!
The full family packing list is featured in the 3rd photo of this post. However, if you need more space or details for each family member, these 5-category lists are ideal!
Not only are these checklists bright, fun and colorful, each section is fully editable so you can write/type in whatever categories you use most when packing up!
In addition to personal packing lists, I know that when traveling, especially as a family, there are often lots of “other things” that need to be brought along as well. As such, I created several different coordinating checklists that can be used based on what kind of vacation you are going on!
These sheets are great for planning/remembering specific equipment, food or entertainment for the whole family. These too have fully editable categories (so you can adjust based on your own needs), and the circles are clickable so you can use this as a digital checklist as well!
I’ve included sheets for Camping, Beach, Cruise, and Mountains (summer or winter), as well as specific sheets for Air and Road travel:
…and checklists for a hotel stays versus rental house stays!
These sheets used in conjunction with the personal packing lists are sure to keep you from forgetting anything (as long as it’s on the list, that is!)
While We’re Away Checklists
This kit also features four pages that are sure to come in handy if you are leaving a home or pets behind with some sort of sitter…
This sweet House Sitter Checklist is a handy way to jot down a bunch of important information in a clear and concise way!
However, if the checklist is too specific for your needs, a fully blank/editable version is also provided for you to populate however you need!
The Pet Care sheet also comes in two forms: one pre-populated with helpful prompts…
…as well as a blank one to use how you wish!
Planner Covers
Last but not least, you guys know I can’t resist a good planner cover! So while this kit fully coordinates with any of the covers and dividers featured in the Printable Binder Covers, Tabs and Dividers kits already uploaded to The Toolbox, this kit also has three fun and festive covers that are specific to this kit.
The nautical/cruise cover is customizable; and if you print out any of the covers in black-and-white, they are fun to color in yourself!
All together, the 50+ simple, clean, and colorful pages included in this Printable Vacation Planner are sure to help you plan, organize and track every detail of your next trip in a really fun way!

One Comment on “Printable Vacation Planner”
So timely! We’re a month out from our first long interstate holiday as a family of five, which is also our first return home in two years. I’ve done no planning at all (I keep getting distracted by school: disco! Karate! Fundraising!). This is just what I need to get my butt in gear, thanks Megan!
