With the Christmas holiday approaching, you might be on the hunt for the perfect and unique gift for someone special in your life! And now that the start of shopping season is officially upon us, I thought this Cyber Monday was a great time to pop in and show you all the goodies in the latest Artisan Box from GlobeIn! This month’s theme was “Bedroom,” and it was full of wonderful and unique accessories to make your bedroom a true retreat!
This is my fourth experience with a GlobeIn Artisan Box, and I tell you…they just keep getting more and more fun to receive! (You can ready about my other boxes here: Entertain, Laundry, Cozy). For those of you unfamiliar with the company, GlobeIn is a small San Francisco-based startup with a mission of supporting artisans and farmers around the globe. They reach out to craftsmen and woman in the far reaches of the earth who are enhancing and improving their lives through craft, and bring their goods, products, and foods right to your door through a monthly Artisan Box subscription. Boxes are available on a month-to-month basis or for 3- and 6-month subscriptions. You can also buy some of the individual items a la carte in their shop!
All of the products contained in the boxes are fair-trade, carefully curated, and a true treat to open and use. This time around, the Bedroom box included the following items, all in a collected and charming palette of pinks and reds!
- Bud Vase from Nepal
- Handwoven Bowl from Mexico
- Seahorse Pillow Pet from Guatemala
- Message Oil Candle from Ghana
- Palm Leaf Basket from Mexico
Each month, I get to play around with these wonderful products and style them up for you to see and enjoy! I’ve actually been contemplating pops of red/magenta in our master bedroom, so this was also a fun way for me to test the waters with that scheme!
Easily my favorite item (and my son’s too!) in this box is the Seahorse Pillow Pet from Guatemala. Not only is this brightly-colored woven creature adorable (and looks awesome against my blue and white pillows!), but the story behind it is so inspiring! These little guys are cut, sewn, stuffed and assembled by a single family who is collectively working to cover cancer treatments for one of the family members. I love knowing that something in my home made a direct and positive impact in the lives of people who really need it!
Some other highlights of the Bedroom Box were some great bedroom accessories!
This Handwoven Bowl from Mexico is the ideal bedside catch-all! It’s small and shallow, yet perfect for holding hair clips, glasses, medicine, chapstick/lotion or anything else you find cluttering up your bedside table! I love the texture this woven tray brings to my bedroom space!
The Massage Oil Candle not only smells heavenly, but also has a wonderful story of improving the lives of women in Ghana. The candles are made from high-quality, toxic-free and ethically produced shea butter by a collective effort of many hands, long hours, and dedicated passion. Born out of a remote yet disadvantaged village, owning this candle literally helps sustain these women’s lives!
Quite often I am looking for a small Bud Vase to use in styling my photos or displaying some freshly-picked blooms on my desk. This little bud vase from Nepal is the perfect little size and shape, and adds subtle character to any vignette around your home. The craftsman behind this vase is the first stoneware leader in Nepal; and he uses the proceeds from his business to school his twin daughters.
Last but not least, everything above comes packaged in the lovely Palm Leaf Baskets from Mexico. I’ve now grown quite a collection of these sweet and vibrant little baskets, and they are now holding everything from clothes pins and wash cloths to plants and sewing notions all over my home! Their versatility makes them ideal for a variety of needs around the home, while they’re punch of color can wake up any space!
An Artisan Box subscription makes for a lovely gift for that person who seemingly already has everything. The items included are always unique, rare, and unpredictable…making the box such a treat to receive and open month after month. If you’re interested in trying or gifting the Bedroom box specifically, it can still be ordered in the shop. Additionally, many of these products (and some of their past baskets!) are available in the shop as well! A single Artisan Box is just $50, but a three-month subscription brings each box price down to $33/box! GlobeIn is offering a coupon to The Homes I Have Made Readers! Just enter THIHM at checkout to save 25% off your first month’s box with the purchase of 3+month subscription!!!!
I have really enjoyed receiving, learning about, styling and photographing the items in my Artisan Boxes over the last few months. Not only do I love the charming gifts, foods, accessories and other items that come in the boxes, but I really love the idea of supporting other craftspeople around the world. People, who just like me, are trying to make a living using their hands and their talents to support their families and better their lives!

The last week or so has been so crazy for me between traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday and dealing with a major glitch on my website. I am so excited to be home and settling into to enjoy the Christmas season at home with my little family. See you back here Wednesday with the tutorial for the wreath I shared back on Friday!!

I did not receive compensation for this blog post; however GlobeIn did provide the “Bedroom” Artisan Box for me to use and review. Please remember that I only work with brands and products I fully support and that make sense for my home, my family, and this blog. All opinions are 100% my own! *affiliate links used
