Recently, some family and friends went above and beyond the usual “call of duty” to help us out with He-Man while I was away on a business trip.  I wanted to get them all a small token of appreciation, and I knew gift cards to their favorite locations was just the ticket.  Instead of just popping the gift cards in their store-supplied envelops, I wanted to do something a little extra special to show them how much their help meant to our family.

So I made these SUPER simple little babies…

I realize they are nothing extraordinary…jeesh…they are just fabric envelops!  But they are a simple and really effective way to say “thank you” with a little more meaning!

I started here…

I found the basic concept in this magazine.  I shrunk down the portfolio size to make a business-card size!  Here is what I did…

I could have left them just as is, but I thought adding a closure would up the anti a bit!  I just received this box of snaps from my mom and knew they were the perfect solution!

Now that I had made a cute holder for my gift cards, I wanted to make matching thank-you notes.  I popped onto my digital scrapbooking software (I use Stampin Up’s My Digital Studio) and made these lovely cards.  I printed out 2 sets on photo-quality paper and trimmed them down.

I then mounted the tops onto coordinating cardstock:

I finished off the “package” with ribbon instead of envelops since I am going to hand deliver them!
Now…something that was so ordinary is a little something extra special…
I do hope they feel my appreciation!
See You Soon!
