Good Evening!  I’m popping on really quick tonight to post some pictures of some cute little projects I’ve done this week, all in the category of “labels”! (because, clearly, I don’t have other things I should be doing like finishing Christmas presents, cleaning my house, and addressing our Christmas cards!)

We had a potluck party to go to on Thursday night, and we were assigned a “main dish” to bring  Ummm? Main dish? I can do appetizers, salads, or desserts easy – but a main dish kinda left me at a loss.  I decided to do slider-style sandwiches with different meats and cheeses – they’re easy and crowd pleasers for both adults and kids alike!

Since I can’t leave well enough alone, I decided our sliders needed a little “holiday love,” and made these cute little flags describing what was in each sandwich!

I started with this free printable and added text to the striped and dotted flags.  I made one more set in my digital scrapbooking software for the blue polka dots.  It only took about 20 minutes to design, print, cut and put these flags together.  In the end, these were pretty easy and made these simple sandwiches a little more festive! AND…since they were labeled, people were quick to pick one up!  I didn’t bring any home!

The other project I did this week were these adorable gift tags for my holiday packages:

I got the idea from my holiday fabric.  I loved the holiday owls, and I knew I could make some really cute tags using my Hoot’n’Holler Cricut cartridge!

I simply cut out four “copies” of a single owl in four different colored papers.  Then I mixed and matched all the elements to make different, yet coordinating, owls.  The cartride also includes the Santa hat – and I couldn’t resist making a few for my owls!  This set is my favorite:

But all the rest turned out pretty darn cute too, don’t you think?

I thought they were addorable before I actually put them on a package…and then I fell in love with them even more once I saw them tied to glittery packages with pretty ribbons:

Now I can’t wait to wrap the rest of my gifts and put tags on them!  I will have quite the flock waiting under my tree on Christmas morning!

See You Soon!
