Now if they bite on the vases, or accidentally knock into them, they don’t budge! This is the best defense against kitty antics. If we had earthquakes in Florida, I’m pretty sure my vases are the only items that wouldn’t fall.
January Update: One morning Oliver started biting on a large decorative glass plate on my dresser in an attempt to wake me up early for breakfast (it worked!) and knocked it out of its holder. I realized that although it gouged my wall, I was lucky that it didn’t break…so after feeding them, I reached for the Museum Wax, and 'glued down' the holder. Now I am confident that it's safe from his mischief. I have been planning on using it to secure my Charming Tails figurines on the bookshelf - the only thing giving me pause is that once it’s stuck down, it would be a pain to rearrange to add additional items. This stuff is great.

After some research I found this miracle of a product. I am happy to report that this stuff works like a charm. It is easy to use, easy to apply, and you have a few minutes of a window to remove it from the object, or to reposition it before it hardens a bit. To remove you just use a bit of dental floss or fishing line to cut it off and then clean any residue off with some all purpose cleaner. It's worked like a charm. I have seen him weaving through my things now and nothing budges. I even put a few pieces of it on the back of my picture frames, on the bottom corner, to act as a stabilizer. I'm pleased to report there's been no more tilted pictures! Just don't use TOO much, or it can squeeze out from the sides/bottom. You don't need nearly as much as you think you do.
Ideally I'd like to keep him from getting up there, but all cat owners know that's easier said than done. I'm so happy that I got this product, it gives me peace of mind knowing I won't come home to all of my irreplaceable décor broken. If you have a rowdy cat, give this a try!
