When you purchase the power functions for this set you will be amazed at how smooth the ferris wheel turns. Though it makes a little noise when turning due to the power functions, it's still not so loud that it's annoying. The power functions battery pack requires 6 AAA batteries, so get prepared to purchase lots of batteries to keep this ferris wheel turning. If you decide not to use the power functions, then no worries, as there is a crank system that allows you to manually turn the ferris wheel.
There are a total of 12 cabins for passengers to ride in as the ferris wheel turns, which means there is plenty of space for everyone. There are 8 minifigs included in this LEGO set, which is a good amount for one individual set.
The wide-range and variety of colors on this set are also a perk. There are several colors with pieces that are fairly rare and can only be found in a handful of LEGO sets.
The ticket booth is a nice touch, as well as the ice cream vendor. The kid with the balloon is also a nice addition to this set.
The overall build time for this set was around 6 hours, which may be even more depending on the age of the bricker. This is the kind of build that requires a little bit of time and usually multiple sittings.
You won't be disappointed if you purchase this set... tons of playability and lots of enjoyment for the entire family.
