I don’t know about you, but when I am out and about, I ALWAYS keep my eye out for good deals or unique items that I can use in my home or on future craft projects! Sometimes these items get purchased and tucked away for someday; but many a time, these spur-of-the-moment finds are what inspire a project from the onset!
Over the past few months, I have picked some VERY fun things. I haven’t done anything with them YET…but I have lots of neat ideas and will be getting to them in the coming weeks/months!
I thought I would show you my fun finds today so you can maybe keep your eye out for similar items too!
Let me show you what I’ve found!

A few weeks back, my mom and I went to one of my favorite crafting secrets – The Offrey Outlet Store! Do you have one near you? We went to the one in Bloomsburg, PA; and although you never know what they are going to have, you are sure to walk away with A LOT of ribbon for very LITTLE $$$$!

All those spools on the left…those were 50 yards for $0.50 each. Yes, you read that right! And those huge spools up on the right? The pink and purple were 100 yards for $0.50, and the black, navy, and ivory were 100 yards for $7.00. See those baggies of ribbon on the bottom right? Those were about 50 yards, each for $0.25. I think I walked away with over 1,000 yards of ribbon for less than $50. It almost felt like stealing! Check to see if you have an outlet near you…in my mind, you can never have too much ribbon!

I love to throw parties, and I think hanging decorations bring such a festive atmosphere to any setting! I don’t mind making my own poofs and such, but when I find these things at clearance prices, I snatch them up! I found the green globes (above) at Target – ALWAYS check the ends of the aisles for clearance items. These were leftover from St. Patrick’s Day, but could be used for a variety of events! I won’t pay $5.00 for them (original price) but I sure will pay $1.50 for a package of 4 globes!
At JoAnn’s, I had a 50% off coupon for my entire purchase, including sale items. I found a bunch of these Martha Stewart party decor packs in the back of the store (clearance section). Again, I wouldn’t pay full price for these, especially when I can make them myself…but $3 for each set was a bargain! Who knows, these might inspire a future party decor scheme!

Whenever I see lanterns in home furnishing stores, I am always drawn to them (so many endless possibilities with these!), but am always turned off by the price tag. I found this great blue lantern at the Goodwill for $5. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but this baby is about 1.5 feet tall! Still haven’t decided if I want to paint it or leave it as it is…but I have some really great ideas for it!
Okay, I already showed you some of this awesome shelf liner paper earlier this week! But I had to show some of the other patterns I’ve picked up! Aren’t these awesome? I have snagged up this paper whenever I see it (look for it in Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and HomeGoods) and have hoarded a small stash (don’t tell my husband!). Not only would it be fun to line drawers or the backs of bookcases with these fun patterns, but they would also make really neat custom wall decals (uh oh, am I giving away all my ideas?!?).

Last but not least, I scored these really fun end tables!

Well…end table bases that is! I found these at a home furniture store that was closing and had signs for “Everything Must Go”!!! The tables had glass tops, which I didn’t care for (both aesthetically and because I have a 1-year-old). Since I could tell they were eager to sell everything and anything in that store…I asked if I could have both bases (without the glass) for $75 and they agreed! I can’t wait to paint these glossy white and fit them with custom tops!

There you have it! Some fun and thrifty finds AND some sneak peaks at some of the projects I have churning around in my brain!
Have you found anything fun lately?

See You Soon!
