Well, hey there friends! It’s been pretty quiet on your side of the blog; but behind-the-scenes, I’ve been hustling hard to get the new blog design (as well as an updated Organization Toolbox) finally online! This big technical overhaul has been months in the making; and while there are still some tweaks to make here and there, I am so excited to have most of the hard work behind me so we can get back to our “regular programming.” Today, I want to “show you around” our new home, and also catch you up on life behind-the-blog…so let’s take a coffee break!

Welcome to Our New “Home”

Hopefully, as soon as you clicked on the blog today, you noticed that we have a fresh new home here on the world wide web! The colors, logo, and my smiling face should all still feel really familiar, but thanks to a more streamlined design and better organization, you should be able to read and reference posts easier and quicker than ever before!

Search Search Search!

A year or so ago, I asked a bunch of you for feedback on what you most wanted or needed from my website. Almost every single respondent asked for a better way to search, filter, and find my past projects. I worked really hard to deliver on that request,  so be sure you check out these new features:

  • There is now an easy-to-access search function in the main menu. Just click that magnifying glass and type in anything you’re looking for! There is also a search bar in the sidebar of every post.
  • Right on my home page, there are 3 big clickable pictures at the top for my main content: Organization, Decor, and Cricut. These pictures will take you to large collections where you can have fun turning various sub-categories ON/OFF to browse projects.
  • Be sure to check out the brand new Project Gallery. You can now toggle ON/OFF any combination of filters to explore all my posts by type, home, materials used, room of the house, and more!

Other fun pages to check out include the Products I Love (where I link up all my favorite home, craft, and family purchases), as well as Our Homes where it is now easier to see the posts from each home we’ve lived in so far (I’ll have updated photo tours uploaded soon!)

The (new) Organization Toolbox

If you haven’t checked it out yet, The Organization Toolbox also got a brand new look! In addition to the All Access Pass, all my printables are now available for individual purchase. This transition from “all or nothing” to thematic bundles has been a long time coming and ultimately allows me to provide my printables at a variety of price points. Additionally, everything is now housed on a much more user-friendly platform! With this new shop format now up and running, I am excited to create even more organizational resources for you!

THIS IS IMPORTANT! If you are already an All Access Pass holder to The Organization Toolbox and you haven’t yet activated your new account, please check your Inboxes for emails from me titled “Activate Your Account to The Organization Toolbox.” (Gmail users, in particular, should check their Promotions folders.) I have done my best to get through email filters, but I’m still hearing from users confused about the new activation procedures. Re-setting your password will not work unless you have activated your account via the email I sent. Message me HERE if you’re still having trouble!

So What Else Is New?

Gosh…not much. I feel like my head has been buried in the underbelly of my website for 2 straight months and I am finally coming up for air. And what a lovely time too…right when all the cicadas are about to hatch and take over this part of the country!

I have some completed projects that I am super excited to share in the coming weeks like our Master Bedroom Closet Reveal, How to Hang Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper tutorial, and some foil art projects I know you’ll love. I’ll be back on my usual Tuesday/Friday posting schedule starting next week, so be sure to stop by regularly.

Finally, thanks so much for your patience these last few weeks as I carried these technical projects across the finish line. While I mentally recover and get some fresh projects queued up, tell me something going on with you in the comments – I feel like we need to catch up!

See You Soon!
