Making homemade bath salts is not a new project (do a quick Google or Pinterest search and you’ll see what I mean!), but when I made some sweet-smelling salts for some girlfriends recently, they turned out too cute not share!

These little jars full of stress-releif or sleep-inducing goodness make great birthday, holiday, “welcome to the neighborhood,” hostess, or “just because” gifts! Plus, you can get so creative with the packaging that they are super inexpensive and fun to put together!

To make my bath salts, I used this recipe. For the essential oils, I used the Stress Relief and Sleep oils from Bath and Body Works. A huge batch of salts was made in no time (just be sure to keep your scents straight!) and then I got to work jarring them up into mason jars.

I used both the taller and shorter jars just for variety sake. I topped each one with a 4″ square of white fabric (trimmed with a pinking sheers) and a homemade label before screwing on the lid nice and tight!

On some jars, I wrapped simple red and white twine around and around and around, finishing with a simple knot. I love the classic look of these!

I stacked the shorter jars and tied them together with matching bows.

To deliver my salts, I loaded the jars (both the short and tall) into these cute boxes I made using a 12×12 sheet of patterned paper. I used this tutorial, and I am totally hooked on making these! So easy and fun! Now if I can just figure out how to make them bigger!

I made and gave these salts as gifts to many of my friends, all who are fellow military spouses, all whose husbands are far away. I made this little tag to tie the whole gift together…

The “stress relief” and “sleep” salts were paired with some mini “energizing” lotions to make a complete little “survival kit.”

These little gifts were fun, quick, and easy to make! The longest part was designing the cute little labels to adorn the tops of the jars. To save you some time and effort, I have these labels all ready to share with you today!

Every now and then it’s nice to slow down and create fun little crafts like these. Nothing here was overly difficult, time consuming or expensive; and they really were such a joy to pull together. I hope my friends enjoyed them!

Hope everyone’s having a great week. I’ll be back on Friday with one more quick project idea for you before the weekend hits!
